FIAT/ IFTA Calls For Proposals On World Conference 2021
The International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT/IFTA), notably one of the world-leading professional associations for individuals and organisations engaged in the preservation and exploitation of broadcast archives, has announced its 2021 World Conference be held virtually from 19 to 21 October 2021. The FIAT/IFTA 2021 Conference has been inspired by the past years' experience, which has prompted agility and rapid adaptability to change.
In a released announcement, the organisation said there needs to be a continuation of enforcement to ensure sustainable responsibility towards acquisition, preservation, access and the use of archive resources so that the materials can carry on the promise of the social, cultural and economic leverage that they comprise.
As declared in the announcement, all submitted proposals can be based on user experiences, new initiatives or perspectives, striking conclusions, successes, and failures. The main objective is to share knowledge and outcomes with audio-visual archive professionals in order to learn, understand and bring about solutions, wrote FIAT/IFTA.
The closing date to submit proposals is set for Tuesday, 20 April 2021. Any interested parties who would like their work presented during the FIAT/ IFTA 2021 World Conference should visit the FIAT/IFTA website.
