DStv Adds Euronews, CBS Justice And CuriosityStream Channels
MultiChoice has revealed that it is adding two more TV channels to DStv including CuriosityStream, CBS Justice and is also bringing back Euronews.
As it is a crime channel, CBS Justice (DStv 170) will be replacing A+E Networks UK’s Crime+Investigation Network and will join the existing group of channels supplied by CBS Studios International and AMC Networks International UK (AMCNI).
CuriosityStream (DStv 185), was launched by John Hendricks, who was the primary founder of the Discovery Channel. It joins DStv’s list of factual entertainment channels.
Euronews (DStv 414) used to be on DStv and is being returned for DStv audiences in South Africa and the rest of Southern Africa.
The three channels will be available from 21 November.
Yolisa Phahle, MultiChoice’s CEO of General Entertainment said that MultiChoice is thrilled to finally announce the rollout of these channels that will join the line-up of new programming for DStv subscribers to enjoy.
She added that she is delighted at the return of Euronews as it will expand the DStv viewers’ choice of news and reality programming.
Louise Cottrell, the Senior Vice President of Affiliate Partnerships for AMCNI UK said that this new launch highlights the rapidly growing demand for true crime shows in the region and that AMC Networks is excited to offer MultiChoice’s DStv subscribers exclusive access to authentic series and documentaries for the first time on CBS Justice.
